Who We Are

The Catholic Apostolic Church in North America

The Catholic Apostolic Church in North America (CACINA) is a small body of Catholic parishes that welcomes all, regardless of race, national origin, marital status, sexual orientation, political beliefs, or economic status.

CACINA is a vibrant, inclusive, faith-filled Catholic church that came to North America from Brazil in 1949. Since that time, CACINA members have sought to proclaim and authentically live the Gospel of Jesus Christ with all of God’s people. We are Catholic, sharing our history and traditions with other Catholic communities, but are not part of Roman, Orthodox, or other independent Catholic churches.
